Advantages of Membership with the ASA

Based in Omaha, Nebraska, Nita Katherine “Kathy” Babcock earned a doctorate degree in medicine from the University of Nebraska Medical Center. Nita Katherine Babcock is a clinical anesthesiologist at Mercy St. Mary’s Hospital and previously served as an associate professor at Creighton University from 1999 to 2013. Dr. Babcock maintains membership with the American Society of Anesthesiologists (ASA).

Established in 1905, the ASA exists to promote the highest standards possible within the field of anesthesiology and to support medical anesthesiologists and their associated professionals. Membership with the organization provides a range of benefits including gaining access to the journal Anesthesiology, a leading industry publication, and the ASA Monitor, a publication that focuses on disseminating education about perioperative health care.
